When a fighter pilot is in the midst of battle, he is not thinking of fighting for his family or flag. He is fighting for his buddy flying next to him. As a warrior, he understands that his survivability and his success are dependent upon having that support immediately available when the battle begins.

In that spirit, this is what we, at Wingmen, stand for. Our goal is to bring men together in a neutral setting where we can develop relationships with other men of God and deepen our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When we enter into battle we will not do it alone.

Wingmen Ministries began in 2002 when two men met to share their burdens in life, as husbands, fathers, business and Christian men. Soon after the first meeting, others were invited to take part. We wanted to grow deeper in our faith with Christ and in our relationships with other men. As the numbers increased beyond the available space of a kitchen, Main Street Bread Company in Grapevine, Texas became the first real meeting place. Wingmen has always been, and will always be, about building Christ centered masculine relationships. This is the foundation upon which this ministry is based.

From September through May, we meet every other Friday morning from 7:00am to 8:30am, as a corporate group. We bring in dynamic speakers to share their experiences and life lessons as Christian businessmen, athletes, and members of our armed forces. On off weeks, men get together in what we call Elements, which, we believe, is Greek for small groups. Each is organized by a volunteer, who has it on his heart to facilitate the discussions. Each Element is separate and individual from each other and from the corporate structure. This allows for a flexibility for the movement of the Holy Spirit, giving each group a uniqueness. We do not dictate the agenda of Elements and welcome new leaders wanting to start new ones.

We are a non-denominational group of guys striving to get closer to God. We are not here to supplant the church; we are here to supplement the church. Our mission is to bring men together in Christ. Wingmen allows us to facilitate the growth of the masculine relationships needed to be successful.

Our approach is twofold. Our corporate events allow for a casting of the net and provide a comfortable venue for men, of any denomination or faith, to attend. The Element groups provide a more intimate way for men to develop and build relationships. As a ministry, we try to show men, in a practical, non threatening way, how to grow closer to God and to live out their destiny in Christ, with other men supporting them. Wingmen is an intentional and practical way of showing men how to be in community and not in isolation.
